AL MONTAZAH PARK
Montaza Palace is a palace and gardens located in Alexandria, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It was built in 1892 by Khedive Abbas II, for his reign over the Khedivate of Egypt and Sudan. In 1932, King Foad added a bigger palace, known as Al Haramlik, and the royal gardens to the already existing Montaza Palace.
The new construction served as a summer palace and represented the Turkish and Florentine styles. There are open arcades with a sea view from each floor.
President Anwar El-Sadat then renovated the original, Salamlek Palace as an official presidential residence.
Unfortunately, the palace is not available for public view, only the royal garden is open for visitors.
